"Less than a week into the production of SCHRODINGER'S BEDROOM, we lost a member of our
family. My wife Lisa's grandmother, Edna Manning, passed away in Georgia at the age of 80.
Click
here for a tribute that Lisa wrote about "Granny" a few days after the funeral.
"The evening she died, a short while after we received the news, I told Lisa that I was
going to dedicate SCHRODINGER'S BEDROOM to her grandmother's memory.
"Granny was a real character. and it wasn't until after her passing that I really started
hearing about how deep a person she was. She loved to laugh, and she loved music: I had
no idea until after the funeral that she could play the guitar pretty well. I'll never
forget all the times that I went to see her and she told everyone that I was her 'boyfriend'.
I don't think this lady ever stopped flirting with the fellas. And, well... there's just so
much more that I could say about her.
"Producing this film literally took every spare iota of time from the moment I chose to
submit an entry to On The Lot, to when it was finally sent off. Because of this
I had to remain here and work on it, and was unable to attend the services for Granny in
Georgia. But I did resolve to do the best job with this movie that I possibly could do,
with it first and foremost in mind that this is how I wanted to honor her.
"It is with only the greatest love and admiration for her that I dedicate this film to the
memory of Mrs. Edna Fowler Manning."
